The University identified over 4 years ago that there was an opportunity to expand both their summer commercial income but also establish a year round conference centre. The team work alongside the existing team and have successfully doubled the revenue, created a distinctive brand of Southcoast Conferences, developed a year round conference offer with support SLA's, and currently developing a range of event management services.
The iconic Bath Assembly Rooms are marketed with the Pump Rooms and Baths with incumbent caterers. The management team required specialist conference, event and market positioning advice from the Onset team giving consideration to the feasibility of future management and operational strategic direction. This was particularly interesting given the diverse cross sector usage of the sites and heritage context.
Establish a brand
Cathedral Group PLC purchased Eynsham Hall and Sundridge Park Conference Onset Solutions Ltd. Onset very quickly helped establish a brand, marketing collateral, social media and electronic marketing which was effectively used to market to clients and successfully generated the projected incomes. Ensuing a smooth and effective hand over to an established team.
The Key Locations Directors are also Directors of Onset Solutions. Onset Solutions was formed in 1997 offering consultancy in conference events, sales, marketing and strategic reviews whether for new product feasibilities or a review of existing operations their approach is refreshing and innovative. Their style is collaborative and insightful.
